Overview
Chisapani Nagarkot Hike will start from Sundarijal (Sundari meaning the beautiful and Jal meaning the Holy water). In conclusion, Sundarijal means the holy water flowing from the Shivpuri Nagarjuna forest. The Shivpuri Nagarjuna forest holds the spiritual values of Lord Shiva. The chisa meaning the cold and Pani meaning the water, so the Chisapani meaning the Cold flowing Water.
From Chisapani Nagarkot Hike we will see many mountains peaks like like Mount Everest, Langtang, Ganesh Himal, Dorje Lakpa, and Gaurishankar. On the way, we will meet many old traditional villages, cultivated land, prayer’s flags, and many more attractions. Nagarkot is a small town at the middle of Jungle which is away from crowed town of Kathmandu.
As Nagarkot is the best viewpoint for Sunset and Sunrise, with some highest mountain peaks. As we hike to Telkot village, we have the option to continue hiking to Changunarayan or drive to Changunarayan.

Detail Itinerary
Kathmandu to Sundarijal Drive, Trek to Chisapani
We head towards Sundarijal from Kathmandu via Boddha, observing various sights within Kathmandu along the way. After about an hour’s drive, we reach Sundarijal, where our trekking begins. We proceed to Shivpuri Nagarjuna National Park to obtain our permits before moving forward. After about an few minutes of walking, we enter a dense jungle. As we approach, we see the Sundarijal Water Supply Project Dam, which provides water to Kathmandu. With the sounds of various birds chirping, we reach Mulkharka, where we see farming activities and notice a slight difference in attire. After having lunch, we continue uphill, heading further into the jungle. Along the way, we encounter various animals, including monkeys, and are surrounded by lush plants, trees, and bushes. Embracing the peaceful nature, we finally reach Chisapani, where we feel the cold and enjoy views of the snow-capped mountain peaks.

Hiking from Chisapani to Nagarkot via Jhule
After having breakfast at Chisapani, we take the jungle path, passing through the area that became Dhapdamp and then reach the beautiful green village of Jhulay. Here, we meet local people and taste local food. Our journey continues as we head towards Jarsingpowa, passing local homestays and witnessing Tibetan prayer flags fluttering on the hills. We hear the sound of the wind and walk through the dense jungle, finally reaching Nagarkot. As we arrive, we witness the sun setting, with clouds moving above and below the majestic mountains, making it a memorable end to the day.
Hiking from Nagarkot to Changunarayan, Drive to Kathmandu
On the final day of our journey, we woke up on particularly meaningful morning and get beautiful sunrise view with golden snowcapped mountain peak. After having breakfast, we start our hike down to Changunarayan via old villages. We will see the Himalayan ranges like Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Jugal, Rolwaling, Mahalangur, and Numbur. As we trek down to Telkot village and straight our trekking trails to Changunarayan Temple. As Changunarayan Temple is oldest Lord Vishnu Temple listed on UNESCO Heritage Sites. We will explore the National Heritage and take our vehicle to Kathmandu and finally drop you to your respective hotel.
