Tika Dhakal

Senior Trekking Guide

Tika Dhakal was born in the village of Baseri, Dhading, at the foot of the Manaslu district, where the mountains were not only a view but a way of life. Already at a young age, he was drawn to nature, visiting every ridge and trail near his village. What started as a child’s curiosity turned into an adult passion for trekking, one that would support his family and expand Nepal’s tourism industry.

Since 1996, Tika has worked professionally as an adventure guide among the diverse landscapes of Nepal. Other than Nepal, his expertise entails organizing trips in Tibet, including pilgrimage to Mt. Kailash. Over time, he has gained an impeccable reputation in integrity, professionalism, and welcoming hospitality that ensured all treks to be secure and rewarding to clients.

Committed to learning and safety too, he has attended multiple high-altitude and AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness) training courses so that he can tackle whatever is thrown at him on the trail. Apart from guiding, he is also involved in social work, assisting local communities as part of Trek Curator’s corporate social responsibility.

With over 25 years of experience, Tika continues to do what he does best—inspiring, guiding, and making every trek an experience never to be forgotten.
