The Kathmandu, Pokhara, Lumbini, and Chitwan tour begins in Kathmandu, Nepal’s vibrant capital, which serves as a cultural and spiritual hub filled with temples, stupas, heritage sites, and medieval architecture. The second destination, Pokhara, is a picturesque lakeside city known for its stunning views and adventure sports. Next, travellers will visit Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha. An important Buddhist pilgrimage site and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Finally, the tour concludes in Chitwan, home to Chitwan National Park, renowned for its thrilling jungle safaris and diverse wildlife.

Arrival Kathmandu
Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, our representative from Trek Curator will greet you with a traditional garland and assist you in transferring to your hotel. You can relax and explore the area around your hotel. In the evening, discover various cafes, restaurants, shops, and clubs for entertainment.
Kathmandu Sightseeing
After breakfast, embark on a full day of sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley. Start by visiting Kathmandu Durbar Square, where you can explore the Hanuman Dhoka Palace, Kumar Ghar (the living goddess), and Taleku. Observe the intricate wood carvings and medieval architecture. Next, visit the Swayambhunath Stupa (popularly known as the Monkey Temple) for panoramic views and insight into Buddhist symbolism. Afterwards, visit Pashupatinath Temple, a sacred Hindu site and cremation area along the Bagmati River. Finally, you will visit Bouddhanath Stupa, a giant mandala and a significant Tibetan Buddhist centre. Throughout the day, you will gain cultural insights into Nepal’s Hindu-Buddhist harmony.
Drive to Pokhara
After breakfast, drive to Pokhara, a city known for its stunning natural beauty. Your journey will take you through terraced fields, picturesque landscapes, forests, riverbanks, and lush valleys. As you travel for approximately 6 to 7 hours, you’ll have the chance to see traditional stone-roof villages and the Himalayan foothills. Once you reach your hotel, you can relax or explore the nearby areas. Enjoy a leisurely evening in lakeside cafes or take a boat ride on Phewa Lake.
Pokhara Exploration
Spend a full day exploring Pokhara. Early in the morning, drive to Sarankot for a spectacular sunrise, revealing panoramic views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Machapuchare. Your sightseeing itinerary includes Davis Falls, a romantic waterfall that disappears into an underground tunnel, and Gupteshwor Temple, dedicated to Goddess Durga. After that, visit the International Mountain Museum, which highlights the history of Himalayan expeditions. In the evening, explore the lakeside restaurants or local shops.
Pokhara to Lumbini
Begin your day with a drive of approximately 6 to 7 hours to Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha. Lumbini is a spiritual hub for Buddhists, and you will explore the Mayadevi Temple and Sacred Garden, along with various international monuments, the Ashokan pillar, ancient ruins, and monastic zones. This exploration will offer you a peaceful insight into the origins of Buddhism. Optionally, you can participate in an evening meditation session at one of the international monasteries.
Drive from Lumbini to Chitwan National Park
After visiting Lumbini, head towards Chitwan, Nepal’s premier wildlife reserve, which takes approximately 4 to 5 hours by car. Upon arrival, check in at a jungle lodge or resort. After settling in, you will receive an orientation about the jungle safari experience from your guide. Visit a Tharu village to learn about the indigenous culture. In the evening, enjoy a cultural dance show performed by the Tharu communities, featuring local instruments.
Chitwan Jungle Safari
Spend the day experiencing the wildlife of Chitwan National Park, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site. Your adventure may include a jungle walk, jeep safari, or elephant ride, accompanied by an expert naturalist. You may spot wildlife such as one-horned rhinoceroses, deer, monkeys, wild boars, various birds, and possibly even Bengal tigers. After the safari, enjoy a canoe ride on the Rapti River to observe crocodiles and birds, and visit the elephant breeding centre.
Return to Kathmandu
In the early morning, take a scenic drive back to Kathmandu, where you’ll witness rural life and the picturesque river valley hills. Upon arrival, you can either relax at your hotel or visit local cafes and restaurants. Optionally, explore Thamel or Asan market for shopping. In the evening, join us for a farewell dinner at a traditional Nepali restaurant, featuring a cultural program.
