Upon your arrival at Paro International Airport, Bhutan’s only international gateway surrounded by the Himalayas, our guide will greet you. You will begin a scenic drive to Thimphu, passing through beautiful landscapes. There will be a stop at Tamchog Lhakhang, an iron bridge built by the legendary Thangtong Gyalpo. After checking into your hotel, you can explore the nearby areas in the evening. Dinner and an overnight stay will be in Thimphu.
After breakfast at the hotel, you will set out to explore the beautiful city of Thimphu. Your first stop will be at Buddha Dordenma, Bhutan’s iconic giant Buddha statue that offers panoramic views of the city. Next, you will visit the National Memorial Chorten, a stupa where locals come to pray. Following that, you will explore the Folk Heritage Museum and the Textile Museum to gain insights into Bhutanese culture and tradition. The tour will also include a visit to Tashichho Dzong, the seat of the Bhutanese government. Additionally, you can visit the Motithang Takin Preserve, where you can see Bhutan’s national animal.
